Sadly it's the final day of my guest designing for Penny Black. For today's card I used the emboss resist technique and the second generation stamping technique to created a winter scene.

Please stop by the Penny Black blog to see the whole card and instructions.

I had so much fun playing with their Christmas themed stamps and dies. I'd like to say a big thank you to Penny Black for inviting me as a guest designer and giving me a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Christmas in July with them! :)

MFT August Release Countdown Day 5

MFT August Release Countdown has begun! This month's release is packed with FUN and whimsy!! From Polynesian themed stamp sets to adorable Halloween sets and whimsical robots, you'll love all and each new products!

Make sure that all of the new products will be available for purchase on Augst 4th at 10:00 pm EST!

Today I'm sharing two cards I made using the new stamp set designed by Lisa Johnson, Scribble Roses.

I used the Faux Stained Glass technique for my roses. I white embossed the roses and leaves on a piece of vellum. Then I colored the back of them with Copics and cut them out with scissors.

The sentiment is from the new Encouraging Words stamp set. The frame was die cut with Pierced Square Frames Die-namics. I stamped Balloon Strings Background onto the card base directly with Natural Hybrid ink.

For my next card I used the Faux Stained Glass technique again, but this time I embossed the images with Liquid Platinum embossing powder.

I added some white dots using a white gel pen. I totally admit that I was inspired by Kay for this technique! These tiny dots add some cuteness and movement to the images!
The rounded window was cut out using a die from Blueprints 3, and the sentiment is from Spring Tulips.

Head over to the MFT blog for the details of the products revealed today. And you will find a list of the DT members participating today's countdown.

Thank you for stopping by today. I will introduce you the new stamp set & Die-namics from Birdie Brown line tomorrow! ;)

MFT July Ingenious Inking - Resistance is Futile

It's time for this month's MFT Ingenious Inking DT Challenge! We are challenged to create a card/project using a resist technique - one of my favorite techniques!! :D

I used the Emboss Resist technique to create my background. I stamped the Lace Background onto a piece of Smooth White CS with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with some clear embossing powder. I blended Bubblegum and Banana Split dye inks over it using an ink blending tool, then spritzed some water to get a softer look. After it dried I cut it with a stitched rectangle die from Blueprints 24.

I layered three butterflies - the bottom one was die-cut with Flutter of Butterflies - Solid Die-namics and the other two were die- cut with Flutter with Butterflies - Lace Die-namics. The bottom one and the top one were cut from a piece of CS that I inked with Pure Plum dye ink to create an ombre look.
For the sentiment I used Brushstroke Birthday Greetings Die-namics, and the oval frame was die-cut using Pierced Oval Frames Die-namics.

You will find a list of the DT members participating today's challenge on the MFT blog. Hop around their blogs to see what they have come up with for today!
