My favorite cards of 2012

December 28, 2012

Hello everyone!

After Christmas, I switched myself to the "New Year's celebration" mode. As a New Year's celebration is more important than Christmas in Japan, I've been pretty busy!! I just realized that I didn't even step into my craft room this past several days and I have nothing to share with you here. We are going to visit my husband's parents' home from the day after tomorrow to celebrate the New Year, and I won't be able to have a time for crafting until we came back home.
So, before closing this year, I'd like to share some my favorite cards of 2012.

Just click each photos to jump to the original post.

(This card was shred on the Birdie Brown blog.)

This would be the last post from me for 2012. I'm so grateful for all that you did for me this year!!
I wish you all have a happy new year!:)

Merry Christmas!

TSG187 Last Minute Christmas

December 24, 2012

Merry Christmas!!!
I hope you all are having a precious time with your family, friends, and all of your loved ones!

This weeks TSG Challenge is brought to us by our Trendsetters! With the hustle and bustle of the holidays, we all have to rush around to get things done…and sometimes, we forget a thing or two!! This is a challenge for all those last minute Christmas ideas, cards, and projects you may or may not need!!

For this challenge, I created a fun card using the Snowbuddies set and the Snowman Sentiments set.

I know that this is NOT a kind of "last minute projects". It took me over one hour to finish this card, but I am so happy with how it turned out!:D
Here is the process for making this card.
  • Stamp the snowman images repeatedly using masking technique.
  • Stamp the noses and eyes.
  • Color them with Copics.
  • Stamp the snowflakes with Versa Mark ink, heat emboss them with clear EP.
  • Sponge some blue inks over the snowflakes, then wipe off excess ink.
  • Trim a banner, stamp the sentiment and stitched lines.
  • Add a couple of buttons.

Please head on over to the TSG blog for challenge details and more inspiration from the other Trendsetters!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a very merry Christmas!

TSG Blog Hop Challenge - Tooth Fairy Approved

December 19, 2012

Welcome to Day 2 of the TSG Blog Hop Challenges!

Melyssa is back today with a set that is Tooth Fairy Approved! Whether congratulating your child for losing a tooth, scrapbooking the loss of a tooth, or leaving a note for the tooth fairy, you have so many options for them all!

Tooth Fairy Approved is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 17 stamps and will sell for $24,00.

We don't have the tooth fairy custom in Japan. So I googled about it and LOVED it!!! Such a dreamy and cute custom! I wish I knew it before my children lost their teeth.

Normally I don't use bright pink for my card base. But I wanted to make a card congratulating a little girl who lost her tooth and thought bright pink was good for it. After I made this card, I asked my daughter to let me know when somebody of her friends lost her tooth. LOL!

TSG Blog Hop Challenge - Smarty Pants

December 18, 2012

Hi everyone! It's time for this month's TSG sneak peeks!! We are releasing three new stamp sets this month, and today we are showing you a super cute set by Melyssa, Smarty Pants!

Nerds are all the rage right now, and we at There She Goes are in love with this super nerdy and cute set from Melyssa. With 23 stamps in this set, you will have so many fun options for the nerd in your life.

Smarty Pants is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 23 stamps and will sell for $24.00.

I had the inchworm wear a glasses and put him on the books. He looks nerdy, doesn't he.:D
I colored the image with Copics and cut it out with a circle die. Then I paired it with some papers from Oxford 6x6 paper pad (Basc Grey).

TSG Again! Week

December 14, 2012

Hi everyone! I hope you all are having a great week so far.

It's a TSG Again! week over at the TSG blog. This month we are featuring these sets!

And today we, Trendsetters, are showing you new cards/projects using these sets. I picked up the No Peeking! set and created a clean card.

I heat embossed the snowflakes, cut them out with a 1" circle punch, then layered them onto the 1-1/4" circle mats. The background paper was embossed with a Zig Zag embossing Folder (Lyfestyle Crafts). The sentiment was from Snowy Days set, and the stitching frame was made using my all time favorite,  In Stitches set.

Head on over to the TSG blog to see what the other Trendsetters have made for today!

Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend!

Inspired By... #53

December 10, 2012

Hi everyone!
I have a clean Christmas card to share with you today. It was totally inspired by the inspiration photo from the Inspired By... Challenge #53.

I loved the traditional Christmas colors and elegant look of the photo. Then the tiny reindeer caught my eye. Unfortunately I have no elegant reindeer stamp... But luckily I immediately thought of a patterned paper from Jovial paper pad by Basic Grey!:)

I stamped a polka dot pattern (Hero Arts) with Aspen Mist ink (Versa Magic). To make the scene, I cut out a reindeer and some triangles from patterned papers (Jovial Paper Pad). For the hills, I used a patterned paper from Aspen Frost paper pad (Basic Grey). The sentiment was stamped with Red Magic ink (Versa Magic) and some rhinestones were added to finish off the card.

Thanks for visiting! Have a wonderful day!

Thinking of you at Christmas

December 8, 2012

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a great weekend so far.

A few day ago, I realized that I still needed to make several more Christmas cards this year! Ugh!  With the pretty busy season of year, I'm not sure if I can complete it or not for now. Anyway I have to do my best! Here is a card I made last night.

The image is a free digital stamp from Birdie Brown. It was colored with Copics and was cut out. The snowflakes were stamped with Cloud White ink (Versa Magic). The sentiment was stamped with Versa Mark ink, then heat embossed with White embossing powder. To finish off the card, I added some rhinestones.
I will send this card to my father-in-law who is in hospital now. I heard that he might not be able to go home by Christmas. So sad... But I hope this card makes him smile...

I'm entering this card to the challenges below.

Thank you for stopping by!
