JUGS164

November 29, 2012

Hi everyone!
Today I'm sharing a card I made for this weeks Just Us Girls Challenge (JUGS164). Here is the inspiration photo they provided.

As soon as I saw this photo, I thought of poinsettias. And I loved some vintage feel on it. So here is my take...

I paired my Christmas Elf digital stamp with a beautiful poinsettia stamp from the Big Blooms - Poinsettias set (Waltzingmouse). The images were colored with Copics and cut out with scissors. I added some diamond stickles to the ball ornaments. The sentiment was from Compliments of the Season (Waltzingmouse). It was stamped with Espresso ink (Versa Craft) and was heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I sponged some Antique Linen ink and Vintage Photo ink (Distress ink) around the background paper to get a vintage look.

Thank you for looking!;)

TSG183 - Inspiration Challenge

November 26, 2012

Happy Monday, everyone!
It's time for another TSG challenge! This weeks challenge brought to us by Candace. She is challenging us to make a card/project using the provided inspiration photo... it is just GORGEOUS!!

I of course went with the Christmas theme. And I loved the colors on this photo - a lot of white, green, and raspberry pink!

Sorry for the photo quality. As it's a rainy day here, I couldn't take photos under natural light.:(

I stamped a tree and a button image from Warmest Wishes set with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed them with some white embossing powder. Then I cut them out using a matching die that is included in the set. The cross stitching line was from In Stitches set.

After I finished this card, I just thought of an invitation card that I pinned as my inspiration source months ago. I thought it was a good opportunity to CASE it.

These snowflake images were from Holly Jolly set. Hummm... my card turned out messier than I expected. I have to try to CASE it again in the future!!

Please stop by the TSG blog for the challenge details and more inspiration from our fabulous Trendsetters! I hope you have a time for playing along with us this week.:)

Thank you for stopping by.

ISSC43

November 24, 2012

Hi everyone!
This weeks sketch over at the iSpy Sketches (ISSC43) is so fun and I had to play with!:D

I know that elephants don't like cold weather (lol). So I gave the elephant (from Jungle Out There set) a cap, a muffler, and a pair of mittens using Snow Buddies set that will be released from TSG soon. (See the second photo.)
For the circles part of the sketch, I punched some snowflakes out from a patterned paper. The sentiment I stamped on the snowy ground was from Tiny Treats : Christmas Stamp set by PTI.

Thank you for visiting!:)

XOXO

November 23, 2012

Hi everyone!
I had no mojo at all yesterday... But, when I saw this weeks inspiration photo at Laurel's Inspired By challenge blog, an idea for a love themed card popped in to my head immediately.

I picked up the pattern of the floor and colors - red, black, and white- for my inspiration. Here is what I whipped up.:)

The sketch I used was Freshly Made Sketch #62. For the background paper, I stamped a lattice pattern (Hero Arts) with Niagara Mist ink (Versa Magic). The hearts are die cut using Spellbinder's dies, and the sentiment is from MFT.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great weekend!;)

TSG Blog Hop Challenge - Snow Globe & Die

November 21, 2012

Welcome to Day2 of this month's TSG sneak peeks!

I told you yesterday that you had to wait until today to see why the new Holiday Cheer set was so versatile…well, wait no more! Not only is it a set that stands alone, the SUPER cute images were designed to fit into today’s set, Snow Globe and matching Die!

Snow Globe and Die is a 3x4 set that includes a total of 4 stamps and will sell for $29.00.

I kept my card clean and simple so that the snow globe stood out. I colored the image with Copics, then added some diamond stickles to the snowy ground. After it dried enough, I covered all over the globe with glossy accents. (See the second photo.) I love how it turned out!!:D

TSG Blog Hop Challenge - Holiday Cheer

November 20, 2012

Hi everyone!!
It's time for this month's TSG sneak peeks! It was so sad that we had to postpone our last month's release with the manufacture issue. However, we finally can show you new holiday stamps!!:D

Today we are showing you a cute holiday set that is called Holiday Cheer, and this one has a twist... but you will have to wait until tomorrow to see what the twist is!! (he he!) This set is so versatile, you will be turning it to again and again for all your holiday needs! With four adorable scenes and four fabulous sentiments, you are sure to fall in love.

Holiday Cheer is a 4x6 set that includes a total of 8 stamps and will sell for $15.00.

I used last month's Sketch For You to Try for my layout inspiration. I colored the image with Copics and used a white gel pen to get a snowy look on the trees. Also added some stickles to the ground, it may be hardly to see in the photo though. The sentimet was from Warmest Wishes set, and I did some machine stitching beside it.

Photo Inspired Christmas Card

Hi everyone!
This is a quick post to share a simple Christmas card I made. I was inspired by a photo I found on Pinterest this morning.

I loved the colors in this photo, dark teal, grey, and kraft. Unfortunately, I couldn't find teal cardstock that is just in color I want in my collection. So I had to change it into green.

Ahhhhhh...! I wish I had dark teal cardstock!!! I have been wanting it for a loooong time, but I've not met good one ever. Does anyone have a suggestion for me?? (Not bright one. And smooth one is the best!)

Before I'm off, I'd like to let you know that this month's TSG sneak peek starts soon (8:00am EST). Be sure to check back here again!:)

Thanks for stopping by. See you later!
